Wooden nutcracker at attention coloring page

A nutcracker soldier stands to attention in a tall hat, braid across his chest, a row of buttons down his jacket and a sabre held at his side. Everything on him is symmetrical, so whatever you do on the left has to be repeated on the right, which is the whole exercise of this page. Nutcrackers like this come from the Erzgebirge mountains in Germany, where they have been carved since the seventeenth century, and Tchaikovsky's ballet made them a Christmas fixture. The Christmas stocking full of toys has the same kind of banded pattern.

How to color Wooden nutcracker at attention

1. Red jacket with gold braid and buttons, and a black or blue hat with its own trim.
2. White for the hair, the beard and the teeth, so the face reads from a distance.
3. Brown for the wooden base and the handle of the sabre, grey for the blade.
