A snowman in a top hat stands inside a glass globe full of falling snow.
Snowman inside a glass globe full of flakes coloring page
Inside a glass globe a snowman stands on a mound of snow, top hat on, carrot nose, scarf flying and twig arms out, with snowflakes and little dots of snow floating around him and a solid ridged base underneath. The glass is the tricky part: leave the inside white and add a pale blue tint only near the edge, and it reads as glass instead of a painted circle. The snow globe as we know it is credited to Erwin Perzy, a Viennese instrument maker, around 1900, and his family's workshop in Vienna still makes them. The snowman in a long scarf is the full-size version of the figure in the globe.
How to color Snowman inside a glass globe full of flakes
- A pale blue tint just inside the edge of the glass, with the curved shine on top left white.
- Black for the hat, orange for the carrot nose and a bright colour for the scarf.
- Brown, red or gold for the base, darker in the grooves.
