Santa ticks off a present in his notebook in Santa's workshop.
Santa checking presents in his toy workshop
- Difficulty Challenging
- Age 6 years and up
- Time 45-55 min
Santa stands in the middle of Santa's workshop with a wrapped present in one hand and a notebook in the other, between shelves of teddy bears, toy trains and baubles, a decorated tree and a tower of parcels. It is the busiest page of the collection, so color the shelves and the toys first and Santa last: his red suit then sits on top of everything and stays the center of the picture. The cartoonist Thomas Nast, who drew Santa for Harper's Weekly, put his home and workshop at the North Pole in the 1860s. Santa's elves wrap the presents that come out of this room.
How to color Santa checking presents in his toy workshop
- Browns and golden yellows for the teddy bears, and a bright color for each toy train.
- golden brown + wood brown A different paper for every parcel, with the ribbons in one contrasting color.
- Santa last, in red with white fur and a black belt.
